Want
a chance to meet other Minnesotans living in the area and enjoy a hearty
meal in a fun, relaxed, outdoor setting?
Well
then, come on down to the annual Minnesota State Society Pancake Picnic.
Each fall as the leaves start to change and the air becomes crisp and
clean (but by no means cold), friends and family members of the Minnesota
State Society get together on a November Saturday to cook up some `cakes,
coffee, and conversation. The complete meal includes as many fluffy
golden brown pancakes as you like, along with sizzling sausages, juice
or hot coffee with choice of assorted flavored creamers, or just straight
black Java if you prefer.
This
outdoor pancake picnic takes place at historic and scenic Fort Hunt
Park, just off the G.W. Parkway South of Alexandria, Virginia. We make
use of the covered pavilion at right which has a fireplace and shelter
from the elements if needed. The adjacent fields offer a chance to strike
up a game of volleyball, tag, or catch. Breakfast is served from 9:00
AM until at least 11:00. Bring your friends and family and enjoy this
great outdoor MSS breakfast! Advance reservations are needed so we know
how much food to prepare.
