Where you grew-up:  Roseville, Minn.

Ties to MN:  Lived there my first 18 years of life. My immediate family and much of my extended family are still there. In my previous job, I was the Washington correspondent for the Rochester Post-Bulletin, so I maintained my Minnesota ties by covering news relevant to the state from Washington.

Family/Personal Info:  Husband Matt (a military brat who has lived all over the Northeast but had never traveled in the continental United States west of eastern West Virginia until I brought him to Minnesota to meet my family)

What you miss most about MN:  A perfect cross-country skiing day in the mid-20s. Rollerblading around the Minneapolis chain of lakes. Twin Cities coffee houses.
