Education:
I received the degrees of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Bachelor
of Business Administration, and Master of Arts in Public Administration,
all from the University of Minnesota. I also received an honorary
Doctor of Humane Letters from the Washington Saturday College.
Professional
Information:
I worked for Headquarters, Air Research and Development Command (ARDC)
in Baltimore, MD where I held several positions ending up in the Command
Element where I was involved in top management. The Headquarters,
Air Research and Development Command moved to Andrews Air Force Base,
Suitland, MD where it evolved into the Air Force Systems Command.
I was again in the Command Element where I wrote all of the regulations
concerning the conduct of research and development at the various
Air Force Bases throughout the United States. My final position at
the Air Force Systems Command was as the Program Manager for the Foreign
Technology Directorate where I dealt with Technical Intelligence.
I next received a promotion in the Defense Communications Agency,
Arlington, VA. I was then again in the Command Element where I was
manager of the Agency's largest contract and I had 27 task officers
reporting to me. I next became the Program Manager of the Research
and Development Division where I controlled all of the R&D money
of the Agency and the money secured by the Army, Navy, and Air Force
at the direction of DCA. I then went back to the Command Element where
I was Assistant to the Chief Scientist for Research and Development.
I again controlled all of the R&D money and was responsible for
the preparation of the R&D budget which I defended at the Pentagon.
I gave speeches all over the United States on the conduct of Research
and Development. I gave these speeches at military bases, the Air
Force Institute of Technology, the Air Force Business School, the
University of Chicago Graduate School of Engineering, and the University
of Buffalo. While I was at the Defense Communications Agency, I was
selected to spend a year as a Congressional Fellow. The highlight
of my year was when I prepared a law for the establishment of a communications
satellite for peaceful purposes. I was assisted by the Library of
Congress in preparing this law. This law was passed by both Houses
of Congress and signed by the President. This satellite is now in
a stationary position over India.
After retiring from the Department of Defense, I joined Manna Financial
Services Corporation where I became a vice president. I am also a
stock broker, financial planner, Registered Investment Adviser, Registered
